Final mock-up of machined brass
The final stage of the bespoke guardrail development at the Wellcome Collection focused on testing and refining the machined brass elements. During the in-situ mockup, we carefully reviewed the form, ensuring it achieved the correct proportions and alignment while matching the finish of the existing brass elements.
Once confirmed, the final pieces were surveyed, fabricated, and installed, seamlessly integrating with the existing handrails. The remaining images showcase the completed installation, highlighting the attention to detail and precision that defined this process.
This final phase brought together months of design, testing, and craftsmanship, delivering a solution that respects and enhances the character of the space.
